Urgent Items for noting
Cllr John Pritchett reported that there are dead trees in Broad Road; the Assistant Clerk has reported the trees to the Tree Warden who is working to resolve the matter.
Cllr Pritchett also reported that the hedges at the Triangle and shrubs need attention the area outside Willingdon Memorial Hall is looking untidy and needs work.
Members requested the Assistant Clerk to contact those responsible for the areas identified.
Willingdon and Jevington in Bloom update.
Cllr Linda Francis provided an update about the current status of the Willingdon and Jevington in Bloom Competition and will submit the list of winners to the Clerk in preparation for the presentation evening.
Cllr Lynn raised the subject of Allotments. The Assistant Clerk advised that she had been in contact with East Sussex County Council and at this stage they do not have any land available in the area.
Agreed: To monitor requests for allotments if the requests reach the required amount to then act upon seeking land.
Cllr Linda Francis reported that the Bus Stop markings need repainting at Coppice Avenue.
Cllr Jo Carr updated Members the current situation with the telephone box at Jevington and urged Members to write in to support the appeal. Cllr Carr requested the Assistant Clerk to establish the original application submitted by another individual.
Cllr Shing informed Members that he has identified areas which need weeding throughout the Parish, and for the work to be undertaken by the Village Team.
Neighbourhood Watch signs at Huggetts land and Sevensisters Road have been vandalised.
