Planning and licensing Committee
The Chairman expressed concerns over the recent approval of the application for affordable housing at 32 Eastbourne Road.
Youth Liaison Panel
Councillor Puttee raised concerns about the proposed Youth Shelter and location. Councillor Broady gave a brief description of the Youth Shelter as well as the benefits of the location and concept.
Councillor Cussons supported the proposal and informed members that Wealden District Council have contributed to 3 other shelters. He requested members have a look at the design and concept.
Amenities
Cllr Shing referred the current situation concerning the existing bench at Glen Close and the proposed new site opposite Mill Lane. The Clerk advised that the bench at Glen Close could possibly be used but would it would be safer to provide a new seat. Cllr Lynn requested that a further seat be considered on the original site outside 41 Old Mill Lane if that property’s ownership changes.
RESOLVED that a new seat to be purchased and erected on a new concrete base the site to be finalised as it is subject to receiving details regarding the location of public services.

Has recently received funding towards new tables and chairs.
Wannock Hall (Verbal report)
Thanked the Parish Council for the grant and advised Members how the money has and will be spent.
Cllr Broady requested that all hall representatives remind the management committees that they must have an up to date fire risk assessment in place.
Neighbourhood Watch (Verbal report)
Is having an open day on 25 th July, which is sponsored by Wealden District Council, Public, Statutory and Community groups have been invited to attend. |
